How to Give

ANNUAL FUND 2004-2005

The Spirit Of Broadway Annual Fund was created several years ago to create a source of revenue for the day-to-day operations of the corporation. Areas of operation covered be the Annual Fund include gas, electric, telephone, rent, office needs and general building maintenance, to name but a few.

At the center of our work at SBT, we believe in the power of theater to transform lives, and improve the quality of life in our community. It takes all kinds of people to make a strong and vibrant community; your contribution is a powerful declaration of your desire to make our community a better place for us all.

There are no grants for electric bills, but you can’t ‘hit the lights’ without power.
For those gaps in funding resources that we can’t achieve with grants, ticket sales, sponsorships or fundraising events, we count on our Annual Appeal. Areas of operation covered by these appeals includes utilities, office needs, general building maintenance and all the nonglamorous functions that are often overlooked in the running of a theater, but without them, the show would NOT go on.

There are no grants for office supplies, but you can’t write a director’s note without a pen.
Being nonprofit means you have something special to offer a community. We pride ourselves on reaching out to the community with special events, programs and educational offerings such as our after-school and summer youth theater programs.

Yet, in order to make these programs happen, you need the office supplies to turn these many programs into reality. Our ticket sales do not cover general operational expenditures. We want to do more to support our community and continue to expand the high quality programs we offer. Your donation will play a vital role.

There are no grants for phone bills, but you can’t sell tickets without a dial tone.
The actors are getting dressed, the orchestra is warming up, the gourmet refreshments are fresh out of the ovens, the ushers standby, the candles are lit, the doors open and no one is there. Such a scenario has never happened at SBT because our donors understand that without the basics, phone, water, electric you don't have much of a business. By making a donation to our annual fund, you play a major role in making sure that audiences can enjoy the quality, magic and award-winning theater that you already know. Without your support, SBT is nothing more than a building. Your donation makes it all come to life!
