The Spirit of Broadway Theater is not what you would expect. In fact, almost everything about us is not what you would expect. From our unique, award-winning performances to the gourmet treats at our refreshment counter, everything about our theater is a ‘most unexpected’ pleasure.

Perhaps we should be called The Spirit of ‘Off-Broadway’ for contrary to what our name implies, we do not produce Broadway standards, nor would doing so fulfill our mission. Instead, we chose our name in honor of the famed Broadway Theater that once graced the rolling hills of Norwich, and in tribute to the spirit of creativity that still resides here.

As an 74-seat, three-quarters thrust, black box theater, our first-class productions, featuring the very best in top talent – professional and semi-professional – are an unequalled, up-close and personal experience.

Our shows are not the tried and true standards. We are proud to specialize in producing the very best in off-Broadway and regional theater scripts along with the development and full production of new works for the stage.
